Equal Payment Plan

Grimsby Power offers customers the option to enroll in an Equal Payment Plan. This plan gives residential and small commercial customers that have not signed with a retailer the choice of being invoiced an equal monthly amount. The equal payment plan will be settled once per year with possible adjustments throughout the year depending on the increase or decrease in bills.  The monthly amount is based on the average charges billed over the previous twelve months.

The balance of the equalized payment plan will print at the bottom of each monthly invoice. Customers should review this balance on a regular basis. All bills are due when rendered. Failure to receive a bill does not entitle the customer to any advantage in their balance due. A bill paid after the due date is subject to an Interest Charge of 1.5% monthly (effective annual rate 19.56% per annum or 0.04896 compounded daily rate). Further collection activity may be imposed for bills remaining unpaid.

It is recommended that customers have at least 6 months of billing history prior to signing up for the equalized payment plan to ensure the installment is accurate.
