Wholesale Market Charge

A regulated charge that Grimsby Power must pay to the Independent Market Operator (IMO) - the IMO will run the electricity exchange for the sales and purchasing of power and arrange for generating stations to supply power to Grimsby Power.

Transmission Network Charge

A regulated charge for the operation of the network of high voltage transmission lines across Ontario.

Transmission Connection Charge

A regulated charge for the connection to the high voltage network, which transmits electricity to Grimsby Power.

Debt Retirement Charge

A regulated charge by the Ontario Government paid by all customers that is being collected to pay down the debt of the former Ontario Hydro.

Electricity Charge

The amount of electricity supplied by Grimsby Power and charged at a price based on a block structure. The actual amount of electricity used is then recalculated for adjusted usage.

Adjusted Usage

An amount of electricity is lost as heat, when electricity travels through wires from generation plants to your property. An assigned percentage is added to your actual usage monthly.
