General Electricity Rates - Effective November 1, 2009

COMMERCIAL ELECTRICITY RATES
The Ontario Energy Board announced new electricity prices effective November 1, 2009 for Regulated Price Plan, or RPP, consumers who buy their electricity commodity from a utility.
The new prices, appearing on the “Electricity” line of your hydro bill, are increasing to 5.8 cents per kilowatt hour for the first 750 kilowatt hours you use per month and 6.7cents per kilowatt hour above that level. For the rate transition period, bills will be pro-rated. This is due to the fact that most customer bills will include pre and post November 1, 2009 charges and will show the energy consumed on separate lines at both the old and new rates.

BREAKDOWN OF CHARGES

COMMODITY CHARGES:
This is the cost of electric commodity supplied during the billing period. Grimsby Power collects and passes on this charge directly to Retailers for customers with a contract and to the electricity suppliers for customers without a contract.
Customers with a contract pay the price made between them and their Retailer. Grimsby Power only invoices customers for the commodity price given to us by your Retailer. Questions concerning the price paid should be directed to your Retailer.
General Service customers that use less than 250,000 kilowatt hours annually without a contract pay the regulated price plan rate.
Commodity Rates effective November 1, 2009
• 5.8¢/kWh for the first 750 kWh used per month
• 6.7¢/kWh for the remaining kWh used per month
