There is currently a wind warning in effect for Grimsby. Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring. Strong southwesterly winds gusting near 90 km/h are expected this afternoon and early this evening, with higher wind gusts possible in thunderstorms.
During conditions like this there is a greater possibility of damage to power lines due to trees/branches and flying debris that can cause power outages.
If you experience a power outage please call 905-945-5437 and press 1. If you have information regarding an event (i.e. heard a load bang, branch/tree on power line, line down across road, debris made contact with power line) please communicate that information when you call in. This information will help us respond to the outage.
In the event of a power outage our crews are committed to working safely to restore power. High wind and storm conditions can pose additional risk to our crews. Power will be restored as it is safe to do so.
